About this job
A position is available for a person who has a minimum of 1 years experience and a Degree in Agriculture, for a 360 cow farm based near Rotorua. You will be milking 360 cows through a 36 aside herringbone shed. Your duties include but are not limited to; carry out milk harvesting tasks safely and efficiently. Solve milk quality issues as per farm policy. Clean and maintain the milking plant and fairy dairy equipment. Carry out hygiene inspections, have good stockmanship, record and maintainall herd treatments. Report on calvings, calving records, identify all health issues and appropriate treatments. Rear calves, general farm maintenance. Take responsibility for running of dairy effluent. Understand mating management. A small two bedroom house is available.
Job Requirements
Have a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture No criminal convictions Two references No pets or smoking on the farm Must have a full Drivers License Must pass Pre-employment Drug Test

- 11 days on 3 days off roster hours are between 4.30am and 5.30pm (50 hours per week)
