Insulation Technician
About this job
As an insulation technician, you will be responsible to perform quality installation of insulation with knowledge handling asbestos. • Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed and methods of installation, based on location, surface shape, heat retaining and characteristics of the material. • Read plans and specifications. • Transport tools and equipment to job sites. • Prepare work sites, ensuring all equipment required is set up. • Prepare surfaces by brushing or spreading on adhesives, cement, or asphalt, or by attaching metal pins to surfaces. • Install, remove, and repair insulation in buildings, mechanical systems/Industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels. • Fit and join cladding materials. • Responsible for the high-quality removal of materials found to contain asbestos, and decontamination of asbestos- contaminated materials, • Able to assess hazards, determine risks.
Job Requirements
• 1-year's experience as an insulator for commercial, industrial and residential projects. • Must be able and willing to obtain a NZ driver’s license. • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

- Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm (occasional work on weekends) (40 hours per week)
