Winter Kiwifruit Orchard Pruner

A Kerikeri based kiwifruit employer is currently seeking experienced Winter Orchard Pruners to join their team. Duties include using pliers and cutters to remove or cut-out shoots from older branches of the plant to ensure there will be space for new and stronger shoots to grow when spring comes around.
The work is in and around the Kerikeri area, mostly north of Waipapa. The contract is casual for 2-3 months with the possibility of ongoing orchard work depending on performance.
Job Requirements
- All applicants must have previous kiwifruit winter pruning experience, no training provided. - Hold a restricted or full Class 1 driver licence with own reliable transport - Able to work outside, fit and physically capable as you will be working with arms raised above your head for long periods of time. - Not allergic to bees, kiwifruit orchards rely on bees to ensure effective pollination takes place. - No pre-employment drug test, employer may conduct a random drug test from time-to-time

- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday, as/if required. (40 hours per week)
