Irrigation Technician
About this job
We have a fulltime permanent role for an irrigation technician.
All trees and vines in our orchards must be irrigated with the right volume of water at the right times. The kiwifruit must be protected from frost using water-based protection methods.
The Irrigation Technician is responsible for achieving the targets by controlling and monitoring, reporting and maintaining our irrigation and frost protection across the property. This is a hands-on job. You might be programming an app, getting your feet wet clearing out a water intake, or your hands dirty maintaining the water mains, risers or drippers.
When not involved with irrigation, you would be assisting with harvest or helping with other orchard work.
The Irrigation Technician role is a flexible position and could suit people with a wide range of abilities and skills. Feel free to talk to us about the role.
