The key responsibilities of the employee for this role: 1. Supervise and oversee the daily operation of the Warehouse area for which you will be responsible. 2. Warehouse Staff Management; - Manage the warehouse employees to ensure compliance and efficiency. - Manage the warehouse staff to ensure that the goods being handled are handled in accordance with the product category specifications. - Ensure direct reports follow and adhere to the company's health and safety policies. - Ensuring the safe operation of the fork hoists and other machinery within the warehouse area. 3. Key Competencies of the role; - Supervision of your direct reports effectively. - Accurate recording of the incoming inventory orders against the manifest received. - Ensuring that the inward inventory is placed in the correct warehouse slot. - Recording and confirming the accuracy of picked orders against the specific customer order. - Sign off on tally sheets and attach the required documents to checked consignments. - Recording and confirming of completed customer orders. - Production of consignment documentation, dispatch labels and waybills for customer orders. - Completion of the final sign-off of the goods loaded onto the logistics companies vehicles. - Record, as required by the company, the key performance indicators. 4. Liaise with the Production Manager in a timely manner to; - Inform the Production Manager of any required repairs and maintenance to the equipment used in the warehouse. - Communicate any quality issues or concerns to the production manager. - Communicate any staffing issues or concerns to the production manager. - Advance any process improvements. - Understand the required and expected outputs required. 5. Supervise the end-of-day procedures, including the warehouse lockup at the end of the working day. 6. Implement and follow existing and new protocols as instructed by the company management.

Job Requirements

Previous experience in the administration and operation of a medium scale warehouse. A requirement for a successful application will be the inclusion of previous employer details to enable reference checking.
