Road Worker

Penrose based employer is looking Road Workers to join their team. You will be working with the Road Marking team, in groups of two or three man crews inclusive of yourself. The idea is that there is one skilled “Operator” with years of experience, another “Apprentice Operator” and yourself. Those two will be tasked to do the skilled road marking with paint, laying down cats eyes, hot bitumen and your job will be to help with general labouring on the most part, carrying cones, stencils etc. You will be tasked to learn as much of the technical skills the Operators teach you, as ideally you will be able to start doing the skilled road marking too. There is no room for error and once the paint is down, it is hard to get back up, so you need to be a good listener and to follow instructions from the Operators, and take your time, rather than rush.
Job Requirements
- Must hold NZ Restricted or Full driver licences. - Must be able to get to Penrose early morning. - Must pass drug test - Criminal Convictions considered on case by case.
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday 7.00 am – 4.00 pm / 6.00 pm Day Shift 7.00 pm – 4.00 am / 6.00 am Night Shift (40 hours per week)

- $23.00 to $27 Dependent on experience
