Meat Process Worker
About this job
Processing of offal and tripe. Moving carcasses to freezers and chillers. Packing and loading meat. Completing quality checks as required and follow production guidelines and specifications. Hanging animals on processing hooks Shape, lace and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer and tine. Prepare animals for processing by removing skin, bones or excess flesh Meat processing, cutting, trimming and deboning. Wash down processing rooms Working as a team to meet production targets. Create or acquire labels for each packet by ensuring that type, date of expiry and weight is mentioned. Maintain processing machinery and other equipment such as knives Working on your feet and conducting repetitive movement. Performing other processing tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
You must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to work night shift Be H&S conscious/comply with all health & safety regulations Good English communication and understanding 1 year New Zealand experience preferred. Ability to work within a team Ability to work with lamb, sheep and calves Proven record of reliable attendance Knife skills advantageous NZQF level 1 qualification or compulsory secondary qualification
