We are a busy New Zealand owned company and we are looking for a Chef. You will be working in a role similar to a kitchen team leader.
About the job:
This is a permanent and full-time role with an immediate start.
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a similar role.
Applicants must be reasonably flexible as you will work rostered shifts between Monday to Sunday between 10am and 10pm. Minimum 40 hours pw or up to a maximum or 50 pw.
You will work in our busy Rangiora Restaurant
Job tasks include:
Leading other kitchen staff
Preparing and cooking Turkish Cuisine to a high-standard using our cooking equipment
Ensuring that food is well-presented
Ensuring that food hygiene and health and safety regulations are met
Carrying out good food safety practices, including regular cleaning
Assisting with reviewing menus and estimating food requirements
Managing portions and minimise wastage
Job Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
