Dairy Farm Assistant
About this job
An experienced dairy farm assistant wanted for a 135 hectare dairy farm in Ruatoki milking 270 cows in a 25 A/S herringbone shed. This is a live-in position for a single person as shared accommodation is with the Farm Manager. Other duties will include feeding out, handling stock, animal health, assist with calving, weed control, fencing, operate and maintain farm equipment. and follow Health & Safety & environmental procedures. No dogs allowed on the farm.
Job Requirements
Have at least 1 years dairy farm experience and a passion for the agricultural industry. Physicall fit and able to perform manual labour in various weather conditions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, as needed. Able to pass a drug test and police vetting check. Full CL1 drivers licence.
