Dairy Farm Assistant
About this job
Assist with management and planning of feed: Manage weeds and pests. Apply fertilizer and irrigation requirements. Effective operation of the milking process, including plant hygiene and somatic cell count. Operate and maintain the effluent system to all regional council compliance requirements and the employer’s additional standards Maintain effluent management records: Implement animal health programme: Assist with calving, wintering, and the calf rearing programme; Ensure all herd records are maintained. Monitor and report on animal health; Assist to manage repairs and maintenance schedule for all plant, machinery, and infrastructure
