About this job
A cafe which operates in one of Dunedin's best known tourist destinations is open 9.30am-4.30pm 365 days a year. Seeking someone to supervise the running of a small front of house team and work with the kitchen team to give guests a great experience. Duties & Responsibilities Customer service Operating POS system, updating when needed Serving food and clearing tables Making coffee Supervising staff, delegating jobs Communicating with the kitchen team Stock ordering, and assisting with product development Help with staff recruitment, and supervise/manage on the job training Work on your own and as part of a team
Must have a NZ drivers licence and reliable transport as no public transport available.
Job Requirements
Experience and Attributes
Hospitality service and Barista experience preferred but not essential Great communication and customer service skills, including being able to interact with visitors from around the world A positive, punctual and professional approach Common sense with a fast paced nature Excellent attention to detail A positive ‘can do’ attitude with an enthusiastic personality Work well under pressure The ability to be able to delegate tasks, and manage staff on a daily basis in order to get the best performance from the team Work well under pressure

- Fulltime between 8am - 6pm - Rostered days, weekends and public holidays (37.5 hours per week)
