Home Care Support Kaimahi

A local Provider based in Tauranga are looking for Home Care Support workers who have a genuine passion in working in the health care industry. Caring for people and committed to providing/promoting independence and wellbeing by ensuring our elderly retain their dignity with respect. Previous experience preferred but not essential. Must have a minimum of restricted driver license, own transport and able to Pass a Police check. Some of the duties involved but not limited to: Home visits providing Kaumatua/Kuia with support assistance to the person and whanau, personal care, home management tasks described in their individual care plan. Assist and support the person to help achieve their well-being and rehabilitation goals. Able to manage risk in the event of any accidents or incidents and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures. Attend any meetings/training as required to support client care plan. Home care support workers are required in areas in WBOP from Te Puke to Waihi. Renumeration is based on the applicant’s level of experience. Hours of work is split shifts between 7am to 7pm, 12 rostered days continuous if experienced. If you have no experience, on the job training can be provided, the hours of work will start off gradual until you are competent in providing one on one care.
