About this job
A go-to place for Italian food located in the Palmerston North Central Business District that serves traditional Italian cuisine, is looking for an experienced Chef to prepare and cook pizza, pasta, spaghetti and other menu items. Your duties will involve taking responsibility for the operation of the kitchen, ensuring that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality and cost control, perform food preparation tasks, impart knowledge, skills and training to kitchen staff to ensure high standards, receive deliveries and put stock away and spot check dishes as they leave the kitchen for quality, presentation and temperature.
Job Requirements
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a Chef preferably cooking Italian cuisine. You need to have very good organisational and time management skills, excellent communication skills (written and oral), ability to delegate, give and receive instructions, have a positive attitude, be reliable, flexible to change and able to work competently under pressure . May be required to pass a security check and drug test
- Days of work
- 6 days per week, split shifts. Either 8am to 11am or 11am to 2.00pm and 4pm to 10pm (30 hours per week)
