Edger Operator

Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in your work? If so, this is the role for you! We are seeking an Edger Operator to join our awesome Horowhenua team, on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours per week). Reporting to the Team Manager, you'll collaborate closely with our Mower Operators and Gardeners, taking charge of general green space maintenance across multiple sites around Levin, all whilst keeping this safe for your, your team and the public. Your primary focus will be trimming edges / weed eating, but you may also need to help the wider team with planting, weeding, and spraying.

Ideally, we would love someone who has practical experience with small plant equipment or has experience in a similar role, however, this is not a must. As long as you have an awesome work ethic, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors also include: • A current, full driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual • A willingness to accept responsibility and ownership of jobs whilst working as part of a wider team - helping out your teammates needs to be second nature • Have knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the job • Excellent relationship building and communication skills • Tons of motivation with a strong desire to get the job done • Must also be able to pass a drug test
