Our Upper Hutt based employer is seeking 2 Chef De Parties to join their team.

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to

• Be familiar with daily and ongoing menus, functions, specials etc. • Ensure individual section and responsibilities are ready to meet daily, function and special requirements. • Ensure the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity. • Ensure each component of a dish prepared is up to standard and properly cooked, and delivered on time. • Follow recipes and instructions carefully. • Clean all areas as required. • Be familiar with and follow the Food Control Plan. • Inform Head/Sous Chef of any short falls in stock or ordering needed for the next day. • Prepare and cook raw materials to the required standard. • Prepare and cook appropriate amounts of stock to meet demand but avoid waste. • Treat all staff fairly and with courtesy • Ensure all statutory, as well as establishment, hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to • Ensure all maintenance problems are promptly reported to Head or Sous Chef. • Any other duties as requested

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should hold a Level 3 National Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) or similar/better.

Otherwise, employer is willing to consider those with relevant skills and experience.

You must have a minimum of 1 year's experience.

Must be able to pass drug test and MOJ - no convictions at all as must have a clean criminal record.

Days of work
Must be flexible as hours range between 30 - 50 p/w, Monday - Sunday between 9am and 10pm. Weekends and nights work involved. (30 hours per week)
