Class 4 Driver

Firth Industries need you! Our Whangarei team need a good reliable Class 4 Driver to join the team immediately. Class 4L holders are also welcome to apply as we have trainers that can get you to the required hours to be able to drive. To deliver concrete to specification in a timely, cost-effective manner, at consistent, high levels of quality in order to meet loading schedules. Our drivers are the frontline of our customer service, so you will be someone that is personable to others who can converse well to Site or Project Managers as well as be polite, friendly, and professional to everyone. We want you to enjoy your day and go home safely to your family in the afternoon or evening. This means you will need to always be Health and Safety conscious. Weekend work is 4 hours minimum pay for either day. If scheduled work is cancelled, you will still receive the 4 hours minimum. 40 hours guaranteed unless time is taken off on your own accord.

We will also need to know you have: • A clean and up-to-date Class 4 New Zealand drivers’ licence and have at least one years’ experience driving a class 4 truck, preferably a concrete truck. • Class 4L - Training can be provided to get your hours up, to be able to drive. • Physical fitness (there is repetitive heavy lifting) Experience with driving unstable loads. • Communications Skills - Verbal & Written • Be able to work in a team and autonomously. • Good time management skills.
