Dispatch and Administration

The PTS Group, who predominantly do line haul of agricultural equipment/machinery, vehicles, and just about anything else they can cart, are looking for an experienced logistics professional who can work across the Dispatch and Administration functions in Whangarei. Previous experience in a Dispatching position, or relevant industry experience is required. You will be an excellent communicator, have an eye for detail and be hands on with the freight! This role is complex, and each day brings a new challenge! Will need someone who is flexible, can work on the weekends if required, and can give this position their all. You will bring a solution focused mindset to solve complex planning of the freight and be confident to independently make decisions that maximize operations. With an emphasis on the administrative functions of the role, also having first hand industry knowledge/experience in transport, is highly desirable as it will allow for you to understand the full scope when organising the team for dispatch.
You will be someone who understands the importance of reliability, great customer service, and promote Health and Safety, to ensure the standards remain high.
Also training and upskilling is available in house for things like Dangerous Goods, F endorsements etc

Job Requirements
-Previous experience in a Dispatching position, or relevant industry experience. Need to know what you are talking about -Attention to detail and superior administration skills. -Strong communication in both written and verbal forms. -Solutions focused mindset with the desire to improve processes. -Clean MOJ preferred. Will look at those with convictions on a case by case basis. -To be physically fit
- Days of work
- M-F 40-50 hours typically Hours vary depending on the work load. 7am loads, some weekends required. Must be flexible. (40 hours per week)
