Seasonal Horticulture/Viticulture Worker

Local employers seeking orchard workers to be a part of their team. Seasonal vineyard and orchard tasks including (but not limited to) pruning, vineyard/orchard maintenance, wire lifting/dropping, trellis work, vine painting, young vine training, rock picking, etc. This work is labour intensive requiring strength and involves a lot of bending, stretching, and crouching. Being physically fit and able to work in variable weather conditions is a must. Daily transport may be available from/to Cathedral Lane, Napier to the various vineyards/orchards across the Hawkes Bay at a cost.
Job Requirements
Successful candidates will be reliable and have good communication skills. Must be physically capable to perform duties listed. Able to use technology (ie tablet) when required. Must be able to work within a team. Must be available for required days. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening test. Criminal convictions considered on a case by case basis.

- Monday to Sunday, 6.30am – 5pm, weather and workflow dependant (30 hours per week)

- $25.47 or piece rate to the equivalent rate
