Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Staff Management and Leadership - Provide ongoing support and Supervision to caseworkers and social workers. • Monitoring and reporting, Risk Management- Collaboratively develop and enhance key strategies to manage regional issues and risks as they arise, anticipate new issues and risks, or change in status of risks, and plan for risk areas that are inherent in what we do and the programmes and service we deliver. • Internal & External Meetings - Attend internal meetings required by National Office National Refuge Service Delivery Manager and General Manager • Crisis Response and Management for High and Medium Risk Clients (Planning, Implementation, & Recording)- • Primary Advocacy - Liaising and advocating for clients with various NZ government departments including Work and Income, Housing New Zealand, NZ Police, and courts. • Networking - Identify current network members and maintain ongoing correspondence. Establish communication links with key external agencies like local refuges, courts, hospitals, lawyers, police, national network, ethnic communities, women’s network etc. Pay details: - $60,000 - $63,500. (non-registered Social Worker). - $65,000 - $68,000 (registered Social Worker).

Job Requirements

• Experience working with the Government Department or NGO set up with women and children in New Zealand or Internationally. • Experience in managing crisis intervention. • Knowledge of EEO principles and work safety. • Proficiency in English Language -verbal and written. • Fluency in at least one Asian, Middle Eastern or African language. • Good computer skills and the ability to use business support software. • NZ recognise qualification or overseas qualification. • Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citize • Have to be able to speak either -middle eastern, Asian or African continent- languages
