Bush Worker, Forestry

A Gisborne based employer is seeking Bush Workers to join their team. Duties will involve preparing and planting seedlings in forestry settings, Measurement – estimate accurate spacing between planted trees, spraying newly planted seedlings, selecting, prune and cutting down trees with a chainsaw, planting seedlings for reforestation purposes, applying fertilisers insecticides and herbicides to individual trees and general forest areas. Full training will be provided.
Job Requirements
Transportation provided for pick ups. Candidates must be physically fit, healthy, strong. Pre-employment and random drug testing are compulsory. You must be comfortable working at heights and be able to work on hilly, steep terrains. You must be available for early morning starts. Must be reliable, hard worker and consistent.
