A Fusion Indian Bar/ Restaurant in Ponsonby is seeking 2 x Bar Managers. Duties as listed below- • Create cocktail recipes. • Update bar range • Create/manage tasting events. • Responsible for all Front of House operations of bar and restaurant in • conjunction with head chef and restaurant manager • Ensuring that staff requirements are met as per rosters, replacing any • absences, that staff are clearly directed and treated within the terms of • their employment contracts and house policies & procedures. • Ensuring the responsible conduct of the premises relating to the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 & the business’s Host Responsibility Charter and Harm • Minimization policies. • Securing the premises at the close of business and ensuring that all • monies and stock are protected and building secure. • Always display good and clear communication to clients • You are required to present yourself in a clean, tidy, and professional. manner always • It’s compulsory to keep the bar & restaurant in a clean, tidy and maintained conditioned at all times. All damage must be reported immediately. • You must be punctual at all times. • Setting bar budgets and prices. • Using stock control system to control stock levels. Undertaking stock • control procedures. • Ordering and reviewing par levels for all bar stock and consumables. • Implementing and controlling all service standards and ensuring • exceptional customer service at all times. • Internal promotion and collateral input of all bar goods. • Undertaking all wage and other cost control procedures. • Keeping records of financial transactions and direct debits. • Ensuring all products are up to standard. • Designing new creative specials for the bar. • Ensuring compliance of bar staff with all OSH procedures. • Carry out all other tasks assigned and agreed.

Job Requirements

• Ideal 2 -3 years’ experience in hospitality is essential. • Must have current Bar Managers certificate. • Be well presented with an enthusiastic & hard-working attitude. • Have a passion for the hospitality industry. • Cocktail Making Skills • Have excellent customer & communication skills. • Be able to work under pressure. • Experience working within a team • Excellent training skills • Experience in Stock Management • Experience in Cash handling • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress. • Outstanding communication and leadership skills • Up to date with alcohol trends and optimized service processes • Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) • knowledge of budgeting, stock management, and how to price and set up a menu • understanding of hygiene and health and safety regulations and staff training

Days of work
Roster max 6 days a week – between 10am – 11pm (35 hours per week)
