Community Support Worker

Are you looking to join a team that provides support to people within their own homes, through a mix of short and long term contracts? Based in Hastings/Havelock North, we are seeking amazing people who bring experience/knowledge and understanding of working with families, people recovering from an accident or have long term conditions.

The rewarding role of a Community Support Worker may also include. • Specialist injury and short-term care • Personal cares, home management, shopping and meal preparation • Moving and handling using hoists and manual transfers • Complex care for clients with complex care needs or serious injury • Support people to live fulfilling lives as inclusive members of their communities. • Companion, coach and community bridge builder

Ideally you will have experience. If not, you will receive training in: o Personal and/or household management o Complex Care (Bowel and SPC Cares) and Challenging Behaviours o Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Health and Wellbeing As this is community-based work, rotating, flexible and permanent rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process. Both full time and part time roles are available.
