Customer Service Role

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Customer Service Assistant to join a busy petrol service station and it's cafe in Greymouth. This role is all about delivering excellent service, keeping the store running smoothly, and creating a positive experience for every customer who walks through the door. General cafe work including making coffees will be required. Previous retail or service station experience is helpful but not essential as in-depth training is provided.

This role operates on a 4 days on, 2 days off rotating roster, consisting of 2 day shifts ( 6am to 2pm ) followed by 2 night shifts ( 2pm to 10 pm ). You will have Sole charge from approximately 4pm or 7pm. A security guard is around during lock up. The full roster is set and provided one month in advance.

Details of requirements for the role as follows:

• Customer Service Greet customers, assist with purchases, answer questions, and provide a welcoming environment. • Point of Sale Operation Process transactions accurately, handle cash and EFTPOS, and maintain till integrity. • Store Presentation Restock shelves, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the shop floor, forecourt, and facilities meet safety and hygiene standards. • Fuel Forecourt Support Monitor pumps, assist customers when needed, and ensure safe fuel-handling practices. • Health & Safety Compliance Follow all safety procedures, including hazardous substance handling and emergency protocols. This includes ensuring all food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times. • Team Collaboration, Work closely with colleagues to keep operations smooth during busy periods.

You will be required to have: • Strong communication skills and a positive, approachable attitude • Reliability and punctuality someone who takes pride in showing up and doing the job well • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks • Comfortable with cash handling and basic computer and POS systems • Willingness to work shifts including weekends or early and late hours • A commitment to health and safety standards . Barista skills would be a bonus
