Residential Support Workers

Havelock North is looking for enthusiastic Residential Support Worker's who work alongside young people under 65 living with a disability.
We are passionate about supporting disabled people on their journey to imagine, create and live a full life. You will be part of a team working to make a difference in your local community. You will join a team of dedicated people to support people in Middle Road, Havelock North with physical disabilities residing in their homes.
You will provide recreative and social support to allow our flatters to participate in everyday life in their home and their community. You will also provide personal care and be willing to participate in further training and education sessions to upskill.
Part time and fulltime roles are available. Ideally experience and a certificate or diploma in Health and Well-being in the sector is preferred however full training will be provided to the right candidate
Key responsibilities will include: • Deliver support in line with each person's individualised care plan. • Be able to use a hoist safely • Support with personal care and administration of medicine. • Be able to travel for out-of-town meetings or activities. • Complete household tasks including cleaning and cooking. • Keep accurate records of the support provided. • Support to maintain a safe, clean and functional home environment. • Own transport with a minimum of a restricted licence • Comfortable passing pre-employment checks: police and drug • Able to commit to rostered shifts

Job Requirements
To be successful in this role • Comfortable passing pre-employment checks: police and drug • You need to have a genuine caring nature • Have a good grasp of English and ability to effectively communicate with clients • You will have a full or restricted driver’s licence and a reliable insured vehicle • Work well within a team environment • Willingness to develop further by working towards a Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing • Must be patient, have a passion to support people with disabilities, a desire to see people reach their potential and an ability to see each person as an individual, with unique needs and abilities

- Minimum 20 hours per week Rotating shifts 6:45am-3:00pm 2:45pm-11:00pm 11:00pm-7:00am (20 hours per week)
