Mobile Crutching and Tailing Operator

Otago/Clutha: Our local employer is looking for 4 x Full-time Mobile Crutching and Tailing Operator to join our team.

Duties include but are not limited to: • To assist the owner, carry out duties within the business – specifically the handling, crutching tailing and care of lambs. • Perform high-quality crutching and tailing on lambs with precision and care. • Assist with marking of lambs, ensuring animal welfare is always the top priority. • Push up in yards to keep livestock moving safely and efficiently. • Handle sheep and lambs with skill, patience, and respect. • Operate and help maintain mobile trailers, yards, and farm machinery. • Work collaboratively with farmers and fellow team members to meet daily targets. • Travel to various farm locations across Otago, adapting to different environments and teams.

Days and hours: • 5am to 6pm 6 days a week • This role offers 55 hours per week.

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • Physically fit • A clean Full Class 1 Drivers Licence or Restricted • Must have a current CV with two employment references. • You must be able to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test, as part of the employment process. • You must be willing to work and turn up when required. • Hold New Zealand citizenship or have New Zealand Permanent Residency.
