Cake Decorator

A reputable cake shop based in Westgate is looking for a full-time Cake Decorator to join our friendly and fast-paced team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities • Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of cheesecakes and specialty cakes using icings, toppings, glazes, fondant, piping, and edible decorations. • Follow specific design and presentation standards to ensure consistency in product quality and appearance. • Create custom cake designs based on customer requests for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and celebrations. • Mix and prepare various types of icings and fillings according to precise recipes and measurements. • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety in line with health and safety regulations. • Manage inventory of decorating supplies and ingredients, and assist with ordering when required. • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure cakes are prepared and decorated within required timeframes. • Stay up to date with cake decorating trends and apply creative techniques to product offerings. • Train junior staff in basic decorating skills and store standards where required. • Interact with customers when needed to discuss design requirements and provide recommendations.

• Minimum 1–2 years of cake decorating experience. • Strong attention to detail and creativity. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Good teamwork and communication skills. • Need to have reliable transport.
