Assisted Travel Driver

Assisted Travel Driver - We are seeking reliable, caring, and community-minded individual to join our team on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities: • Safely transport clients to and from appointments, programs, community activities, and other destinations • Assist clients with entering and exiting vehicles as required • Ensure seatbelts, mobility equipment, and safety procedures are followed at all times • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly

This role is suited to individuals who are physically capable of pushing a wheelchair and lifting items such as a folded wheelchair (approximately 9kg) in and out of a vehicle boot.

Must have lived in your local area for several years and be familiar with local roads, facilities, and destinations and live in a central location within either Hastings or Napier, as we require team members in both cities.

To be successful you must have: • Previous experience in a caregiving, support, or customer-focused role • A commitment to providing high-quality service and care • A professional, trustworthy, and dependable approach • Be available to work between 3 and 5 days per week • Excellent time-management and organisational skills • Comfortable using mobile phones, hands-free technology, Google Maps, and other navigation tools • Full clean drivers licence • Hold, or be willing to obtain, a P Endorsement on your driver's licence • Pass a pre-employment police and drug test • Have an updated CV with references available
