The Community Navigator role is relationship-based and community-focused. It involves regular home visits, advocacy, practical support, connecting families with community services, and maintaining strong relationships with local providers and organisations.
We are looking for someone who can build trust easily, communicate well with people from different backgrounds, and work confidently both independently and as part of a team. No two days are the same, so flexibility, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills are important.

Job Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience Full and clean Driver License Ability to pass Police Vetting due to working with vulnerable people and youth Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excellent organisation, time management, and reliability Confidence using digital systems, reporting platforms, and data entry tools Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Experience supporting a diverse range of families and communities, particularly those experiencing complex challenges Understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities when working in the community Must be able to pass a drug test
Desirable Skills and Experience Pacific language skills Existing community connections and networks Experience working within social services, youth work, education, health, or community support Lived experience navigating services and support systems Knowledge of local services and supports across Northland
