Trainee Conservation Worker- Try Taiao Programme

Looking for hands-on outdoor work and the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience? We have a 14-week employment opportunity available in South Auckland working on environmental restoration projects. This role offers practical conservation experience, paid employment, and the chance to build connections with industry employers.

What You'll Be Doing: - Pest plant control - Native tree rescue and planting - Seed collection - Native plant nursery work - Site preparation and maintenance - Environmental restoration activities - Working as part of a supportive team outdoors

What's On Offer: - 14-week pathway into employment - Paid employment for 10 weeks at minimum wage - 30 hours per week (Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm) - All PPE and equipment provided - Transport available from agreed South Auckland locations - Industry training and support - CV and interview preparation - Professional references and networking opportunities
