We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandise Clerk to join our team at the Auckland Airport Precinct. In this permanent full-time role, you will provide operational support to the Merchandise Manager RVSC – Retail by coordinating stock movements, replenishment, and inventory accuracy across New Zealand to support sales across stores and online platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, analytical, and passionate about retail operations and inventory management.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinating with suppliers, retail teams, and logistics partners to maintain stock levels across stores and support product availability. • Providing operational buying support, including compiling replenishment proposals, and raising purchase orders in line with approved buying decisions. • Managing receipting processes by reconciling deliveries against invoices, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory records. • Monitoring stock levels, identifying low-stock risks, tracking backorders and delivery delays, and communicating updates to stakeholders. • Coordinating end-to-end stock take processes, including store liaison, variance investigations, and reconciliation of physical stock to system records. • Maintaining high data integrity across POS, inventory, and online retail systems, including product data management. • Executing approved pricing and promotional updates accurately in line with retail strategy. • Producing stock and sales reports to support buying decisions and continuous improvement in stock optimisation. • Monitoring competitor pricing and activity and providing recommendations to support pricing integrity and opportunities. • Supporting online order fulfilment, including dropship processing, dispatch coordination, and consignment tracking. • Building and maintaining strong product knowledge of current and new industry products. • Assisting across the business and undertaking additional duties as required. • Actively participating in Health & Safety systems and Sustainability Models. • Demonstrating energy, initiative, and commitment towards company goals.

Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Minimum 2+ years’ proven experience in merchandise or stock control within a retail environment (and/or an equivalent NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification or AQF Certificate II/III). • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude. • Excellent numerical and data analysis skills with high attention to detail. • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Teams. • Experience using POS systems such as Shopify and inventory systems such as - unleashed Inventory. • A strong customer-focused approach. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • A hands-on approach to stock management when required. • The ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
