Cafe' front of house team member

A local cafe' is looking for two team members to join their team. This role would suit candidates with at least 6 months of experience working in a cafe', restaurant, or similar hospitality environment. Coffee making experience is ideal but not essential, as the employer is happy to train the right person.

The cafe' caters to early morning commuters, so applicants must be available for 4:30am starts. Rosters are provided in advance and include rotating morning and afternoon shifts. The cafe' closes at 6:00pm and operates 7 days per week so weekend availability is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Taking food and beverage orders from customers Serving food and drinks in a friendly and professional manner Operating the cash register and EFTPOS machine Cleaning and preparing tables Assisting with stocktake, checking deliveries, and putting stock away Providing support to other team members as needed Following all health and safety and food hygiene requirements at all times

-Availability for early morning starts from 4:30am is a must -Availability to work Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster -At least 6 months’ experience in a cafe', restaurant, or similar hospitality environment -Previous customer service experience, including cash handling and EFTPOS operation -Coffee making experience is an advantage, but training can be provided -Good customer service skills and a positive attitude -Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team -A full Class 1 driver licence is a bonus, as occasional deliveries may be required, although most deliveries are usually handled through delivery services -Must be able to pass MOJ and drug test
