Cafe Assistant / Food & Beverage Attendant

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Assistant to join a busy cafe environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys early starts, takes pride in food preparation, and delivers excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities: Prepare food items such as sandwiches, muffins, scones, and cabinet food Assist with simple cooked dishes (e.g. fish pie, macaroni cheese) Make and serve coffee and beverages Deliver friendly and efficient customer service Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace Restock supplies and monitor inventory Follow food safety and Health & Safety regulations Support smooth daily cafe operations
Job Requirements
Minimum 4 years’ cafe, food prep, or hospitality experience (essential) Confident coffee-making skills Strong food hygiene and presentation standards Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently Excellent communication and customer service skills Team-oriented attitude with a focus on quality Must have reliable transport for early starts Ability to pass a police check (case-by-case consideration applies)
