Orchard Vine Worker
The Orchard Vine Worker is responsible for carrying out general orchard and vineyard maintenance duties to support the health, growth, and productivity of vines and crops. Tasks may include pruning, training vines, thinning, tying, and other seasonal maintenance activities as directed.
This role is primarily based outdoors and is weather-dependent. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and be physically capable of undertaking manual labour for extended periods.
Role Requirements: • Ability to stand and work on their feet for 8+ hours per day. • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including repetitive wrist and hand movements. • Ability to work with hands and arms above shoulder height for extended periods. • A moderate level of physical fitness is required. • Ability to follow instructions and work safely within a team environment. • Previous orchard or vineyard experience is preferred but not essential, as training may be provided.
Job Requirements
• Must have a valid driver's licence. • Must have reliable transportation to travel to the base orchard located in Tirohanga. • Must be willing to undergo and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test. • Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
