About this job

A textile fabrication business is looking for a Fabricator to join their team. The business has a diverse workflow ranging from tank and pond liners to shade sails, screens, and custom covers. The team also completes marine and motor upholstery and trimming. The role involves hands on fabrication using hot air welders and sewing machines, as well as installation work—offering a great mix of indoor and outdoor tasks.

Key Responsibilities • Fabricating textile products using hot air welders and industrial sewing machines • Assisting with installation of covers, sails, screens, and liners • Supporting marine and motor upholstery and trimming work • Working across a variety of fabrication projects in a fast paced environment • Maintaining high workmanship standards and attention to detail

An apprenticeship is available to become an Industrial Textile Fabricator.

Job Requirements

Skills & Experience • Some previous trade experience (any trade) is advantageous • Practical problem solving mindset • Good communication skills and teamwork • Reliable, motivated, and keen to build a long term career in the textile industry • Reasonable physical fitness • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship • Minimum Restricted D/L • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Days of work
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8am to 4.30pm (40 hours per week)
