Duty Manager (Food and Beverage)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Duty Manager (Food and Beverage) to join our busy local hotel and functions venue.
Key Responsibilities: • Managing restaurant, bar, sports bar, conference, and event operations during shifts • Supervising Food and Beverage staff and allocating daily duties • Providing professional customer service and handling guest enquiries • Coordinating with kitchen and hotel departments to maintain smooth service • Managing reservations, bookings, and event enquiries • Monitoring cash handling, billing, and shift reconciliations • Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing and health and safety requirements • Assisting with staff training, rostering, and performance management • Overseeing stock control, cleaning schedules, and outlet presentation • Supporting conferences, banquets, and hotel functions throughout the shift
Job Requirements
Required Skills & experience: • Current Duty Manager Certificate or LCQ qualification • 2+ years’ experience in Food and Beverage, hospitality, or Duty Manager roles • Experience supervising staff and managing busy service periods • Strong customer service and guest engagement skills • Experience with cash reconciliation, billing, and POS systems • Ability to manage restaurant, bar, conference, and event operations independently • Understanding of liquor licensing and host responsibility requirements • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask • Experience with reservations, bookings, and event coordination • Knowledge of health & safety procedures in hospitality • Ability to train, lead, and support team members • Must be able to pass an MOJ check and drug test • Must have an up to date CV

- Roster based role with a mix of morning and evening shifts, including weekends. (40 hours per week)
