Support Worker – Blagdon and Strandon

We are currently seeking an empathetic, passionate, and motivated Support Worker to join our team in New Plymouth.
In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in providing both practical and emotional support to individuals, empowering them to live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day duties may include: • Assisting with meal preparation • Supporting clients with community outings and social integration • Providing medication support • Delivering personal care (e.g., showering, toileting) • Assisting with bowel care, manual handling, and hoist transfers • Carrying out household and home management tasks

Job Requirements
• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others • Previous healthcare or caregiving experience preferred but not essential • Great communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends • An up to date CV with at least two contactable referees • Must be living within 10 - 15 kms of Blagdon and Strandon • Comfortable using computers and mobile apps • Health and Wellbeing Level 3 Certificate and above (advantageous) • Full drivers licence and own vehicle, as driving may be required for work tasks and commuting

- Weekend (Split Shifts): Saturday: 7–11am, 1–3pm, 4–6pm, 7–8pm Sunday: 7–12:30pm, 1–3pm, 4–6pm, 7–8pm (15 hours per week)
