We are currently seeking an empathetic, passionate, and motivated Support Worker to join our team in New Plymouth.

In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in providing both practical and emotional support to individuals, empowering them to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day duties may include: • Assisting with meal preparation • Supporting clients with community outings and social integration • Providing medication support • Delivering personal care (e.g., showering, toileting) • Assisting with bowel care, manual handling, and hoist transfers • Carrying out household and home management tasks

Job Requirements

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to support others • Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving (preferred but not essential) • Strong communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends • An up to date CV with at least two contactable referees • Residence within 10–15 km of Inglewood • Confidence using computers and mobile applications • A Health and Wellbeing Level 2 Certificate or higher (advantageous) • A full driver’s licence and own vehicle, as driving may be required for work duties and commuting

Days of work
Monday - Saturday OR Sunday - Friday 7:30am to 11:30am (or 8am to 12pm), and 4pm to 6pm (36 hours per week)

$23.97 – $29.68 per hour
