Vacancy: Class 4 Truck Driver

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 4 Truck Driver to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating company vehicles safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with all transport and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities: Your duties will include, but are not limited to: - Operating company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. - Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any damage or mechanical issues to management. - Observing and reporting equipment or mechanical failures immediately. - Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules. - Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions. - Collecting and verifying delivery instructions. - Delivering and collecting freight from customer sites and depots. - Loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently. - Completing all associated paperwork, including Dangerous Goods documentation. - Ensuring all legal requirements for the transportation of goods are met. - Managing positive customer relationships. - Following all company health and safety procedures and requirements. - Taking full responsibility for the assigned vehicle/unit while on duty. - Carrying out routine checks and maintenance inspections of the truck.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

- At least 1 year of experience in a truck driving role. - A valid and clean Class 4 Driver Licence. - A current DG (Dangerous Goods) Licence. - Manual gearbox driving experience and knowledge. - Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual tasks. - Knowledge of emergency procedures and handling hazardous conditions. - A sound understanding of Health & Safety practices and logbook requirements. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - A positive attitude and strong work ethic. - A clean character background. - A level of fitness suitable to carry out all required duties safely and effectively.
