Trainee Fumigation Technician (Marsden Point)

We are currently seeking a Trainee Fumigation Technician to join the team in Marsden Point. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to lead into full-time employment after approximately 3 months.

No previous experience is required, as full training in fumigation procedures will be provided. We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, reliable timekeeping, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

A key aspect of the role involves driving company vehicles, therefore a full driver’s licence is essential. A forklift licence or relevant experience would be advantageous but is not required.

Essentials (non-negotiables): Must hold a full driver’s licence and have reliable transport to and from work. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and criminal record checks. Must have strong communication skills. Must be capable of working both within a team and independently without supervision. Must be available to work weekends as required. Must be comfortable working in confined spaces, including ship holds. Must be physically fit, reliable, and capable of carrying out manual labour duties. Must be level-headed, responsible, and committed to following Health & Safety practices. Must be able to provide two references.

Preferred but not essential: Forklift licence. Previous labouring experience.
