The Temporary Team Lead is responsible for leading a team that supports the preparation, conduct, and delivery of electoral campaigns by managing the enrolment process and ensuring the accuracy of the electoral roll by: •Supporting the Commission with the establishment of a Temporary Enrolment Processing, QA or Support team. This includes involvement in the selecting process, facilitating orientations and assisting with training. •Defining, setting, and managing operational objectives in close collaboration with the Enrolment Manager, Permanent Team Lead Enrolment, Senior Enrolment Officer, and other relevant stakeholders. •Leading the team in compiling and maintaining accurate electoral roll data, ensuring full consistency with relevant legislation and national processes. •Providing Guidance, Leadership and Support to team members ensuring they meet their performance expectations. •Delivering regular progress reports on team activities to the Enrolment Manager and the wider Enrolment team. •Prepare action plans and report on deliverables to ensure the achievement of operational objectives. •The Temporary Team Lead is accountable for all work assigned and for contributing positively to the values and outcomes outlined in the Enrolment Delivery Plan. The Temporary Team Lead will work from a designated Enrolment team office.

Job Requirements

Previous experience leading in a high-volume administration or processing environment. •Previous experience working on an election is preferred but not essential. •Ability to motivate and inspire others. •Is results oriented with a customer focus •Has a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage data accurately and consistently. •Is a people person and able to build and maintain strong relationships. •Has good organisation, time management, and planning skills. •Can make sound and robust decisions. •Has a continuous improvement approach to work and a desire to deliver high quality outcomes to New Zealanders. •Is able to stay positive under pressure and balance multiple priorities. •Problem analysis skills and good sound judgement. •High level of computer skills in packages beyond MS Word. •Demonstrated ability to work independently and to show guided initiative.
