Cafe worker

Riccarton: We are committed to excellent customer service consistency and a welcoming dining environment. Due to continued growth within the business we are seeking an experienced Cafe Worker to join our team in Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve cafe-style food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light meals - Operate coffee machines and maintain consistency in beverage quality - Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and handling payments - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including front-of-house and service areas - Ensure all food handling complies with NZ food safety standards and Food Control Plan requirements - Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation - Set up and close the cafe, including cash handling and reconciliation - Work efficiently during peak service times while maintaining quality and accuracy - Support team members and contribute to a positive working environment

- At least 4 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry, including a minimum of 2 years working specifically in a cafe environment (mandatory) - Preferable able to speak basic Korean language - Proven experience in coffee preparation and cafe operations - Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy setting - Good organisational skills and attention to detail - Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays - Able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week on a permanent basis
