About this job

This role is responsible for managing events from enquiry through to execution and billing, while supporting the Cluster Director of Sales with sales administration and account management. You will work closely with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless communications and successful event delivery across multiple properties.

Key Responsibilities - Event Management: Manage functions and events from the initial enquiry stage through to execution, delivery, and final billing. - Sales Administration Support: Assist the Cluster Director of Sales with day-to-day administration, account management, and corporate RFPs. - Documentation & Contracts: Prepare comprehensive, accurate proposals and contractual agreements for clients. - Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless logistics and communication across multiple properties. - System Management: Efficiently maintain precise client and event information within Opera and Ivvy systems. - Business Development: Assist with prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities and nurture existing corporate accounts. - Client Relationship Management: Deliver exceptional, tailored service to foster long-term client relationships and encourage repeat business.

Job Requirements

- Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel sales, event coordination, hospitality administration, or within a Travel Management Company. - Technical Proficiency: Prior experience using hotel sales and event management systems (ideally Opera and Ivvy) is highly advantageous, alongside strong skills in Microsoft Office. - Communication & Detail: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an uncompromising eye for detail. - Work Style: A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work independently, exercise strong initiative, and solve problems effectively on the fly. - Time Management: Exceptional organisational skills to manage competing deadlines across multiple property portfolios. - Availability: Flexibility to support event execution, which may occasionally include evenings or weekends depending on event schedules.

Monday to Friday. 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
