An exciting entry-level opportunity for a motivated and mechanically minded individual wanting to build a long-term career within the civil, drainage, and specialist services industry. This hands-on role provides exposure to stormwater infrastructure projects, workshop support, vehicle maintenance, and specialist equipment systems.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced operators and technicians, assisting with daily operational activities while developing practical skills across trucks, machinery, drainage, and vacuum systems. No two days are the same, and the role offers excellent learning and career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with truck and fleet cleaning • Support vehicle and equipment preparation • Maintain yard cleanliness and organisation • Assist with basic truck and equipment checks • Support workshop and maintenance activities • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment • Assist crews on drainage and stormwater projects • Learn vacuum excavation and specialist equipment operations • Follow workplace health and safety procedures • Work collaboratively with operational teams • Attend training and development opportunities • Maintain a reliable and professional attitude

6 months experience in labouring, workshop, drainage, mechanical, civil, or yard experience Full class 1 license and personal transport to Harewood Physically fit and able to lift up 20kgs Mechanically minded with an interest in trucks and equipment Willingness to progress their career and obtain class 2/4/5 Ability to pass a MOJ and pre employment drug test
