New Zealand hops are some of the most sought after hops in the world, renowned for unique aromas, and used in many award winning craft beers around the world. Our farms are two of the four Clayton family owned farms in the region that produce and supply qualify hops for NZ Hops and Clayton Hops.

You will play a crucial role in supporting our Farm Managers and the teams with seasonal hop farm tasks at Battery Hill and Blue Rock Farms. These are permanent full time roles with a negotiable start date.

Small cottages on each farm can be made available if required. Your responsibilities will grow as you develop into your role.

Job Requirements

Farm industry knowledge and horticultural experience would be an advantage but can be open to discussion for the right person. Experience with machinery operation and chemical handling is preferred but training/certification provided if required. Technical knowledge in growing, irrigation, fertigation is preferred but not a must. Natural leadership, communication planning and organisational skills A proactive, open mindset with the ability to learn and adapt Be a team player with a positive attitude, willing to get hands on Committment to safety, quality and sustainable agricultural practices. Have your own reliable transport and full clean NZ drivers license A reasonable level of physical fitness and a love for working outdoors
