Experienced Winter pruners/Tying down workers

A local employer based in Greerton are seeking Experienced Winter pruner and Tying down orchard workers - Kiwifruit orchard workers are required for winter pruning work.
Expected start date: Mid June to winter pruning till September 2026. Work locations in Bay of Plenty: Tauranga - Welcome Bay, Matapihi, Te Puna. You must have a reasonable level of fitness as you will be on your feet for long periods and working with arms above shoulder height. You will be carrying a picking bag on front - weighing up to 25 kgs when full.
Successful applicants will be reliable, enjoy working outdoors in a multicultural team, hold a minimum of a restricted drivers licence and have own transport for work.
Closed footwear must be always worn on orchard, as part of the health and safety requirements. Gumboots are suitable. You will need secure accommodation within daily travel assistance and be able to travel to the various orchards. Tools will be provided by the employer.

Job Requirements
• Must have previous experience in industry. • Have own reliable transport to travel to various orchard locations across the Bay of Plenty. • Current NZ Full or Restricted Drivers Licence. • Flexibility required as work is weather dependent - available to work every fine day between (Monday to Sunday - 8am to 5pm). • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, with reasonable cause testing also conducted. • Minor convictions considered on a case by case basis.
