Solar Trade Installer Assistant

Critical to the success of the business, the Solar Trade Assistant provides assistance to both the Lead Electrician and the Lead Roofer during the installation of solar panels and the associated mounting systems. The position forms part of a Solar Installation team which is supported and guided by the Lead Electrician or Installation Supervisor and is accountable to the National Installation Manager.

The installation team is the public face of the company and must always deliver exceptional customer service, while following all health and safety protocols and guidelines.

Working and staying away from home from time to time is currently a requirement of the role. We will aim to rotate teams and minimise this requirement where possible.

Key Attributes and Responsibilities • Assist in the installation of solar panel, mounting systems and cabling on residential and commercial rooftops, following established procedures and safety guidelines. • Transport and organise materials and tools required for installations. • Assist with stocktaking activities and warehouse organisation as required. • Work closely with the rest of the team, including electricians and project managers, to ensure successful project completion. • Maintain high quality standards in all installation tasks.

• Previous experience in construction or roofing. • Basic knowledge of solar panel installation is a plus but not mandatory. • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability. • Good communication and the ability to work effectively in a team. • Full NZ Driver's License • Please apply with an updated CV
