This is a rare opportunity to work with traditional textile machinery in a hands-on production role that combines craftsmanship, mechanical knowledge, and pride in quality.
We are seeking a capable and hands-on Machine Operator / Loom Tuner to join our team in a part-time role, with the potential to become full-time as needed. This is an immediate start position supporting our production team.
About the Role:
You’ll be working closely with our team to operate, maintain, and fine-tune machinery particularly looms. Must have a background as a machine operator with strong mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities: - Operating looms and weaving high-quality textile products - Monitoring and maintaining machinery for optimal performance - Conducting quality control and identifying/fixing issues on the fly - Supporting short production runs with a range of textile types - Working both independently and collaboratively with the team

Job Requirements
• Experience working with machinery (textile experience a bonus) • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability • Must be able to mechanically fix machinery and be able to hit the ground running • Patient yet efficient work style • Willingness to learn new techniques and follow instruction • Honest, reliable, and in good health • Able to work independently and as part of a team • A genuine interest in older machinery • Meticulous, tidy, organised, and systematic approach • Positive attitude and a high level of discretion • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test • Convictions on a case-by-case basis • Must have an up-to-date CV
