About this job

We are looking for a full-time Production Chef to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively to produce high-quality food items in line with approved recipes and specifications, ensuring compliance with food safety (including HACCP), quality standards, and company policies at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and assemble food products in the kitchen area • Follow recipes accurately and ensure all products meet required specifications and quality standards • Maintain a clear understanding of product requirements and customer expectations • Ensure all special dietary requirements are strictly adhered to, including Halal standards and allergen management • Comply with all legal and company requirements relating to food safety, site security, quality, and health & safety • Support the achievement of production targets set by Line Managers • Participate in team activities such as shift briefings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives • Consistently monitor product quality and take corrective action where necessary • Provide guidance, training, and supervision to kitchen team members as required • Carry out yield testing across all stages (e.g., raw to cooked and assembly processes) • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by following the “clean as you go” policy • Ensure all equipment, work surfaces, and areas are kept clean and tidy at all times • Perform any additional duties reasonably assigned by management in line with business needs

Job Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment using own initiative • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern cooking techniques • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency • High standard of literacy and numeracy skills • Passionate about delivering authentic flavours at scale • Accurate/detailed focused • Flexible & self-motivated with the ability to 'think on your feet' • Must pass all pre-employment checks • Must have full driver license and reliable transport

Qualifications • Qualification as a Chef by trade or equivalent practical experience in a large scale food production environment • Completed vocational training in culinary and related hygiene course preferred • Work experience in a large-scale kitchen production required.

Rotating roster 7 days between 5am - 10pm (30 hours per week)
