We're seeking a Service Deli Supervisor in Thorndon who is highly organised and thrives in a fast-paced environment, to coordinate all daily operations of the Deli department. This is a full time permanent position suited to someone with strong customer service, adaptability, and problem solving skills.
You'll need to: - Ensure high-quality food production and presentation standards - Train, motivate, and supervise deli staff, encouraging teamwork and ongoing development - Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring optimal freshness and compliance - Champion health and safety standards, ensuring compliance and a safe environment for both staff and customers - Engage with customers, anticipate their needs, and build lasting relationships that keep them coming back
Job Requirements
About you: - Supervisory experience in a similar role within the fresh foods industry - At least 2 years of experience working in a similar retail environment - Demonstrate strong knowledge and expertise in deli production and products - Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and a keen understanding of customer needs. - Be adaptable and calm under pressure, always ready to support the wider team and connect with customers.
