Roof and Property Serviceperson

About this job A Rolleston based employer is currently seeking an experienced builder/roofer who will be assisting the team with various duties including but not limited to Spray Treatments, Roof leak and Spouting repairs, and Pest Control services. The role will also involve using spray guns, scaffolding/cherry pickers and scissors lifts.

This role involves daily travelling to various mainly residential locations within the greater city and around Canterbury. Having good spoken & written English is required to discuss various procedures with clients and to fill in written paperwork. From time to time when working further away or weather conditions restrict services being able to be performed, flexible working hours or days will need to be accommodated. Further basic mechanical experience would be helpful due to there being a number of motorised equipment that are used.

Given that services are performed on multi level buildings, the successful candidate must be physically fit & strong, healthy, comfortable with heights, have a good understanding of health and safety requirements and if not already have, willing to obtain a Harness Qualification.

Job Requirements The successful candidate must be physically fit, strong and be comfortable with heights/ working on Roofs / experience with use of various Lifting Equipment / Scaffolding. Important to have a good understanding of health and safety requirements and willing to obtain a Harness Qualification.

Must be able to pass police security check and pre-employment drug test. Would suit an experienced builder/roofer, or an experienced Handyman person with lots of all round Roof & Property maintenance skills. Would also suit a semi-retired person. Good spoken / written English. Clean Driver’s License.

Must be able to take on responsibility for level of work performed, reliable and consistent.
